As an arbitration chairman for over 10 years and an attorney
for over 24 years, John Dalton will be the independent judge Kane County needs.
Dalton has rendered decisions in hundreds of arbitration cases and has appeared
in both state and federal court. A trial attorney for virtually his entire career, Dalton
currently owns and operates his own law practice. Dalton plans to fund his campaign without accepting donations from lawyers, and is one of the first Illinois judicial candidates to take this stance.Dalton will protect our rights and be a fair and independent
voice for the people of Kane County. Dalton resides in Kane County and is a Deacon, Church Council member and bible study facilitator at Elgin’s First Congregational Church United Church of Christ.
Dalton currently serves as a nonpartisan elected Trustee of Elgin Community College, where he represents over a half million residents located in 32 municipalities and parts of five counties.
