As an arbitration chairman for over 10 years and an attorney for over 22 years, John Dalton will be the independent judge Kane County needs. Dalton has rendered decisions in hundreds of arbitration cases and has appeared in both state and federal court. A trial attorney for over 16 years, Dalton currently owns and operates his own law practice. Dalton plans to fund his campaign without accepting donations from lawyers, and is one of the first Illinois judicial candidates to take this stance. As Kane County resident Judge, Dalton will work to create an online system allowing Kane County residents to pay traffic fines, seek court supervision or request a trial date without having to appear in court. This system would save taxpayers money and time by reducing the number of cases heard in Kane County Courts. Dalton will protect our rights and be a fair and independent voice for the people of Kane County. Dalton resides in Kane County and is an active member of Elgin’s First Congregational Church United Church of Christ.
